Al-Ihsaan Primary School will be hosting a workshop “Tools for Parents” for all females:

  • Presenter: Mrs. Vandana Siew Sankar-Ali (Clinical Psychologist)

The workshop will explore the various stages of development which children undergo as they grow, so that parents can understand how best to apply approaches and techniques to address various care giving situations. Special emphasis will be placed on equipping parents with effective communication skills, to enhance a warm, caring and balanced approach, between children and all appropriate authorities.

Topics will include:

  • Simple Parenting
  • Understanding the stages of development and developmental tasks of:
  1. Early childhood
  2. Middle Childhood/preteens
  3. Adolescence
  • Parenting with head and heart – Empowering and building parenting skills, and raising well-adjusted children
  • Discussion and Q&A
