Al-Ihsaan in collaboration with Nur-e-Islam Masjid and Guiding Stars Academy is pleased to announce our Masjidul Aqsa competition!
We know that Masjidul Aqsa is important to Muslims all over the world. Many of us have never seen the exact spot where Allah raised His beloved Prophet ﷺ into the heavens nor experienced walking through the compound where 124,000 prophets gathered to pray behind the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. But we can still do our best to learn about the Holy Land.
We want you to experience Masjidul Aqsaa by building a 3D version of Masjidul Aqsa compound for yourself!
Description:
You are to research and build a structure of the Masjidul Aqsa compound. It is a historical structure, so be as accurate as you can. Your compound should include some of the following:
- Masjidul Qibli
- Dome of the Rock
- Dome of the Chain
- Baab ur Rahmah Cemetary
- Musallah Marwani
- Masjidul Buraq
- Etc (more info available on the links at the end)
Dimensions: No smaller than 8.5″ x 11″.
Medium: Bristol board, paints, cutouts, recycled materials, and anything creative are all welcome. If you wish, you can access the printable and valuable links/ materials below.
Eligible to enter: Anyone ages 5 to 12 years old can enter! There are two categories 5-7 years and 8-12years
Prizes include: Cash prizes, books, games, toys and more
Rules:
- The art competition is open to students and children between the ages of 5 to 12 in Trinidad and Tobago.
- Entries must be accompanied by a short video explanation detailing the project (not filming oneself).
- Each participant is allowed to submit only one entry.
- All entries must show aspects of child participation.
- Any participant found to be in breach of the guidelines herein stated will be disqualified.
- Judges’ decisions are considered final.

Judging:
The panel of judges reserves the right to disqualify any project due to incompleteness, poor taste, the inappropriateness of content.
The artwork must comply with the entry guidelines.
The artwork should be compelling, aesthetic in design, and carry a message.
Artwork will be judged using the following criteria:
- Creativity in use of medium
- Appropriate use of medium
- Complexity
- Visual appeal
- Accuracy
