A Muslim Women’s Conference

Assalaamu alaikum,

The Commonwealth Secretariat is hosting a workshop entitled “Building Stronger Communities Together: Women and Preventing Extremism”.

We at Al-Ihsaan Institute are inviting you to the workshop, which will be held on Sunday 24th March 2019, 1-6pm at Nur-e-Islam masjid, in shaa Allah.

Topics of discussion:

  • What makes a strong community?
  • What is extremism?
  • How does it affect me and my community?
  • What are the Islamic principles and guidelines on this?

The workshop includes group activities to help identify and problem-solve current community challenges and identify local resources available to help strengthen our communities.

Br. Assan Ali from the Commonwealth Secretariat will be joining us to share his expertise and suggestions from his own experiences.

We look forward to seeing you there as we work together to make our communities stronger, with Allah’s help.

There are limited spaces available, please confirm your attendance by filling out the form below, thereafter we will contact you to confirm your attendance.

Please note, even though the participants of this workshop are all female, there will be both male and female presenters

  • Transport allowances and childcare are available if needed. Refreshments will be served.

May Allah reward you for your efforts and give success to initiatives that bring positive reform to our communities.
