Frequently asked questions

Are the programmes open to everyone?

Yes. Al-Ihsaan Institute welcomes applicants from every background.

Which level is right for me?

Level 1 supports entry-level learners. Level 2 supports progression from prior training or relevant competence. Workforce Assessment may suit experienced practitioners able to provide evidence and demonstrate every mandatory competency.

What are the Level 1 entry requirements?

Admission requirements are confirmed during the admission review. Ask our team before applying.

Do I need Level 1 before Level 2?

Your qualifications and competence must be reviewed. The two levels are separate awards, each with mandatory requirements.

Does experience guarantee certification?

No. Experience alone does not guarantee certification.

What evidence may be used in Workforce Assessment?

Evidence may include employment records, qualifications, a portfolio, workplace evidence, observed performance, professional discussion and work products, subject to the approved process.

Who conducts the assessment and awards the qualification?

Approved assessors conduct assessment within the applicable quality-assurance process. Successful candidates may be recommended for certification through the applicable awarding process.

Is training available online?

Level 1 uses online and in-person delivery, with an in-person practicum. Level 2 delivery details will be shared once confirmed.

What practical or workplace activities are required?

Requirements depend on the pathway and approved competency standards. The review explains the applicable activities and evidence.

How long does each pathway take?

Level 1 is nine months. Level 2 and Workforce Assessment timeframes will be published once confirmed.

What are the fees and payment options?

Level 1 is TTD $3,500: TTD $1,000 down, then TTD $500 monthly. Workforce Assessment is TTD $6,500 for assessment only. Level 2 details are not yet published.

Is the CVQ recognised throughout the Caribbean?

The CVQ is a CARICOM-approved, competency-based qualification. Employment, licensing, immigration and appointment requirements may vary by country, employer and position.

Does the qualification guarantee employment or licensing?

No. It does not guarantee employment, appointment, promotion or licensing.
